Meet the Doctor

Dr. Jamie Kuzniar

​​​​​​​Dr. Jamie Kuzniar is the owner and founder of Elevate Eye Care + Eyewear. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. During her training, she received in-depth training in specialty contact lenses and the treatment and management of ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, and binocular vision dysfunction.

After graduation, Dr. Kuzniar completed a corneal disease and contact lens residency at Indiana University. During her residency, she was able to become an expert at specialty contact lens fittings for conditions such as keratoconus, corneal transplants, post-RK, corneal ectasia, and severe dry eye. Dr. Kuzniar has a passion for fitting gas permeable contact lenses, especially scleral contact lenses as well as myopia management and designing orthokeratology lenses for children and adults.

Dr. Kuzniar has been the recipient of many awards and accolades such as the Clinical Excellence in the Field of Gas Permeable Contact Lens Award from the GPLI, George Mertz Contact Lens Residency Award, and was voted by Newsweek as #15 on their list of Top Eye Doctors in America in 2022. She is a Fellow of the Scleral Lens Society (FSLS) as well as the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO). Dr.Kuzniar is a consultant who lectures nationally to students and doctors teaching them about new technology in specialty contact lenses, dry eye, and keratoconus. Dr. Kuzniar resides in Rochester Hills and enjoys spending time with her husband, Colin, two daughters, Olivia and Eloise, and her Australian Shepherd, Luna.
